Athletic Partcipation/Conduct Grades Policy

Students participating in athletic competition (cheerleading included) are expected to maintain an 80 or above conduct average. If a weekly average is below 80 then the student will be placed on athletic participation probation. If a second consecutive week average is below 80 then the student will be suspended for the next game. If a third consecutive week occurs then the student will be suspended from athletic competition for seven consecutive days. If a fourth consecutive week occurs the student will be suspended from athletic participation for the school year.

All suspensions will be effective immediately upon verifying conduct grades. If during the sport this process repeats itself after one or more weeks of above 80 conduct averages then the second week consequence will be a seven day suspension. Flagrant or chronic misconduct may be judged differently from this process. During 3rd or 4th week consequences students will not be allowed to attend away games or dress out with the team during home games.
